This Saturday I visited Rochester for the first time and what a beautiful town. The trip was organised via Gateway CC and a few members made the journey to photograph the Cathedral.
I ended up shooting only 4x5 with the Speed Graphic and taking only 10 shots in 5 hrs!
I was way out of my comfort zone as this type of photography is very alien to me, but I am up for the challenge and it was a perfect opportunity to practise with the SG!
I saw this shot while walking the grounds of the Cathedral, I really liked the lead in from the path, using the tree to hold the composition on the left so the viewer’s follow through to Rochester Castle.
The movement of the daffodils I think add to the overall scene and one I am happy with :)
Even more of a bonus it made the cut onto my Vogue Italia portfolio! See some more of my shots from the day here
